The Kanji Family Foundation was established in the loving memory of our father, N.V. Patel. (1929-1994). NV grew up in a small village in Gujarat, India, where he worked as a farmer and put himself through college before relocating his family to Zambia in search of economic opportunity. His life’s journey took him through England and eventually settled in the United States, and it’s where three generations of the Kanji family reside today.
He will always remain in our thoughts and prayers, and we hope his presence will guide us, not only in our Foundation endeavors, but in every aspect of our lives.
As an immigrant family that came from very humble beginnings, we were very lucky to access economic opportunities that have allowed us to help others who are less fortunate. We believe it is our responsibility to ethically, effectively and equitably give back to our community – with our heart and soul.
